Officials with the Bentworth School District about 20 miles south of Pittsburgh say the decision is a direct result of the scandal, in which the former defensive coordinator was convicted of molesting boys, including acts in a campus shower room.
The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association already requires schools to use a staggered shower schedule to keep adults and students from showering together.
Mark Byers, the association's chief operating officer, tells the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (http://bit.ly/Q7m7zM) Bentworth should be applauded for going one step further.
