Megabus officials aren't identifying the driver who fell ill about 6 p.m. Monday near the Bedford exit on a trip from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh.
Megabus also says in the statement that while it is "extremely grateful" to Pastor James Grantz for steering the bus to safety, a review of surveillance video showed the driver—though ill—did remain conscious with her hands on the steering wheel, too.
Grantz and other passengers say the driver told them she had forgotten her blood-pressure medicine.
Megabus says the driver was medically qualified to drive and didn't seem to be "unwell" to supervisors before leaving on the trip.
