ALIQUIPPA, Pa.—Jurors in western Pennsylvania resume deliberations Monday in the trial of a former Pitt football recruit who is charged with criminal homicide in the town where he was a high school star.

Twenty-nine-year-old Monroe Weekley III of Aliquippa is also charged with robbery in the November death of 24-year-old Rashawn Cameron of Ambridge. Aliquippa police allege that Weekley went to an Aliquippa residence with others to rob Cameron, who was shot in the head.

The Beaver County Times ( http://bit.ly/PtPIDr) says defense attorney Dennis DiMartini argued that prosecutors had not physically linked Weekley to the death or eliminated other suspects.

Weekley graduated from Aliquippa High School in 2000 and spent a year as a redshirt for Pitt before the linebacker was kicked off the team for unspecified reasons.
