PITTSBURGH—Fire officials say an electrical problem is apparently to blame for smoke that forced the evacuation of a high-rise in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports (http://bit.ly/MImpdd) firefighters were called to the 21-story Investment Building around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Assistant Chief Tom Cook says the smoke was apparently caused by an electrical problem on the seventh floor. The few people in the building were evacuated.

The scene was cleared after about half an hour.
