Twenty-year-old Danielle Castrignano waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday on charged related to the June 15 crash that involving Cory Ryan.
Police say Castrignano struck Ryan on June 15 in Wilkes-Barre, then turned herself in about 12 hours later, saying she thought she'd hit a shopping cart. She's charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal accident and two summary charges.
But authorities haven't ruled out further charges as they investigate reports Castrignano was drinking before the crash.
Defense attorney Peter Moses says Castrignano is "very remorseful" and has accepted responsibility for the crash.
Ryan was in a wheelchair while recovering from a previous auto accident.
