Public Works Director Rob Kaczorowski told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Saturday that it will take some time for property owners to tally the damage.
Thunderstorms dumped more than 2 inches per hour in some sections Friday, flooding roads and trapping some motorists in the South Hills neighborhood.
An emergency management official told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that police and firefighters had to rescue people from about a dozen trapped vehicles.
Kaczorowski said all roads had reopened Saturday and no major injuries were reported
