MEDIA, Pa.—Attorneys for a widow and son accused in the beating death of her husband inside the family's suburban Philadelphia home 4 1/2 years ago say evidence against their clients was obtained illegally.

The Philadelphia Inquirer ( http://bit.ly/Mx8YBl) says defense attorney John Kusturiss argued in Delaware County on Wednesday that 25-year-old Parth Ingle of Pottstown was not read his rights before he gave police a statement.

Ingle and 52-year-old Bhavnaben Ingle are charged in the January 2008 bludgeoning and stabbing death of 55-year-old Arunkumar Ingle in Middletown Township.

Authorities say the slaying was motivated in part by the victim's marital infidelity. Parth Ingle was sentenced in December to probation on a conviction of hacking into his father's emails. Authorities say he also tracked his father's movements with a hidden GPS device.
