PITTSBURGH—The Department of Justice says three Pittsburgh residents have been arrested and charged with five counts of cybercrime.

The DOJ says in a statement Tuesday that 20-year-old Matthew James West, 28-year-old Jonathan Cunningham, and 24-year-old Alyson Cunningham allegedly hacked into the computer server of a law firm in November, 2011, after Alyson Cunningham's employment was terminated there.

The three allegedly installed software which could be used to capture passwords of people on the firm's network, and obtained their financial information.

A message left at a number listed for West was not immediately returned. Phone numbers could not be located for the Cunningham's.

The defendants were released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
