BLOSSBURG, Pa.—Authorities in northern Pennsylvania say an 11-year-old girl was killed in a blaze that destroyed or damaged five homes over the weekend.

Fire officials in Tioga County say the blaze was reported at 6:45 a.m. Sunday in a Blossburg home.

Fire chief Shawn Carey said two older siblings were able to jump to safety from the roof of an addition, but 11-year-old Gia Carlone died after she went back into the burning second floor of the duplex.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined, but a state police fire marshal said it is not considered suspicious
