RIDGWAY, Pa.—Authorities in west-central Pennsylvania say an elderly woman was killed in an early morning house fire.

State police in Elk County said fire crews were called to the Ridgway home at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

Police said 89-year-old Elizabeth Verbeck was pronounced dead after the blaze.

Police said the cause of the fire has not been determined but it is not believed to be suspicious.

Damage to the two-story wood-frame house was estimated at $150,000.
