BOSTON—Police have identified the man who died when his motorcycle struck a pickup truck on the Massachusetts Avenue bridge between Boston and Cambridge.

Police say 20-year-old Vail Cerullo of Chester Springs, Pa., was taken to a hospital after the accident at about 2:25 p.m. Monday where he was pronounced dead.

Cerullo was crossing from Boston toward Cambridge over the Charles River when the truck, operated by an 18-year-old Gloucester man, made an improper turn in front of Cerullo's motorcycle.

The motorcycle crashed into the pickup, throwing Cerullo onto the ground where he was run over by a large SUV.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
