Police say 42-year-old Richard Klementovich, a Clifton Township, N.J., police officer, surrendered shortly before midnight and was taken into custody.
Officers in Bucks County were called to the Doylestown Township home after a neighbor reported some kind of disturbance shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday.
A county emergency official says shots were fired at officers and police vehicles as officials arrived at the residence.
Pennridge Regional police chief Dave Mettin says one officer was injured by metal shrapnel. He has been treated at a hospital and released.
