BARTON, N.Y.—Authorities say a 29-year-old man faces charges in two states after stabbing two men in upstate New York and fleeing to Pennsylvania, where he was captured.

New York State Police say troopers and Tioga County, N.Y., sheriff's deputies were called out Monday night by a report of a double stabbing in the town of Barton, on the Pennsylvania border 30 miles west of Binghamton.

Police say they learned that Jeremy Frisbie, no permanent address, got into a fight with the resident and another man, stabbing both. One of the men suffered minor injuries but the other is in the intensive care unit at Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre, Pa.

Frisbie fled the scene but was later found by police at a home in Sayre, across the border from Barton.
