LANCASTER, Pa.—Authorities say an early morning fire in a central Pennsylvania house claimed the life of one person.

Officials in Lancaster County say the blaze was reported shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday in a home in Manor Township.

Firefighters reported heavy smoke pouring from the home when crews arrived.

Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said one person was found dead after the fire.

The victim's name and age were not immediately available. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
