EASTON, Pa.—Prosecutors in eastern Pennsylvania say they will seek the death penalty against a woman accused of having killed her ex-boyfriend as he slept.

Forty-two-year-old Elizabeth Collazo is charged in Northampton County in the March 15 death of 38-year-old Mark Werkheiser.

Authorities allege that she let herself into the Williams Township home she once shared with Werkheiser, the father of her four children, and shot him six times on the morning of a custody hearing.

Prosecutors said Wednesday that her execution would be justified due to the slaying and the break-in.

The (Allentown) Morning Call ( http://bit.ly/LmiMfz) says Collazo has sent the paper letters in response to an interview request in which she declined to answer questions about the case but said she loves the victim "more now than ever before."
