An Allegheny County jury in February convicted 26-year-old Keith Wright of Clairton of second-degree murder, criminal conspiracy and burglary.
Prosecutors said he shot and killed 20-year-old Tauvea Hurt on Jan. 1, 2011 at the Clairton party.
Police told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ( http://bit.ly/L3o50Z) that Hurt was wanted at the time on charges of having shot Wright three months earlier.
Common Pleas Judge Edward Borkowski sentenced Wright to two to four years on the burglary charge and five to 10 years on the conspiracy charge along with the mandatory life term without possibility of parole on the murder charge, with all terms to run consecutively.
