INDIANA, Pa.—Authorities say a western Pennsylvania shooting death over the weekend apparently stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker says 55-year-old Richard Shotts of Rural Valley was shot in the neck just before 1 a.m. Sunday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene in North Mahoning Township at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Baker said the victim was trying to intervene in a domestic dispute at his daughter's home.

Baker said the suspect in the shooting was wounded and was released to state police after treatment at Punxsutawney Hospital.

Officials said the shooting was unrelated to what they call the suspicious deaths of three people found after fires in two mobile homes elsewhere in the county.
