G. Richard Patton told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review ( http://bit.ly/KaRp3w) that 17-year-old Joncarlo Patton returned home Tuesday and would be living with him.
He said his son was in good health and "extremely pleased to be here and being reacquainted with his friends."
The youth was sentenced last year to three years in an Indian juvenile detention facility after he was convicted of slitting the throat of Cynthia Iannarelli at a desert resort in the western state of Rajasthan in August 2010.
Prosecutors said he was traumatized over his parents' divorce. He said he was innocent and accused police of forcing him to confess.
