ERIE, Pa.—A northwestern Pennsylvania woman has been ordered to stand trial in the death of her 5-month-old son in an Erie motel where she lived with her boyfriend.

The Erie Times-News ( http://bit.ly/JdL747) says charges against 22-year-old Leslie Anne Holmes were upheld after Tuesday's preliminary hearing.

Holmes is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering.

Authorities say Jasper Holmes was found unresponsive Feb. 9 in the Riviera Motel in Millcreek Township. The child died 11 days later of traumatic brain injuries.

The paper says 21-year-old Matthew Clark testified Tuesday that he saw Holmes shake the boy just before the child stopped breathing.

Clark was originally charged with criminal homicide but now faces only an endangering charge due to a plea agreement.
