MOUNT POCONO, Pa.—Authorities in northeastern Pennsylvania say they believe a vehicle fire and explosion in which a man was found dead is related to an explosion and fire at a nearby home.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police say the explosion and fire at the Pocono Summit home was reported just before 3 a.m. Monday.

While officers were responding to that fire, police were told about the vehicle fire and blast nearby. Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen says an unknown man found inside the vehicle was pronounced dead at about 5 a.m. Monday.

Police say they are trying to identify the man. They say no victims were found at the scene of the house fire.

The Pocono Record of Stroudsburg ( http://bit.ly/Ir0iWp) reported that the car is registered to the owner of the home.
