Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Kathleen Durkin imposed the mandatory life term Tuesday on 21-year-old Julian Larkins of Pittsburgh, who was convicted by a jury in January of first-degree murder.
She imposed the additional sentence on an attempted murder conviction and made it consecutive to the life term in the October 2009 shooting outside the Mac Can Do bar in Homewood.
Prosecutors said Larkins fired 20 shots from a 9mm pistol that had an extended clip, and the man who was wounded was his intended target.
