The York Art Association will offer four workshops in March at their studio, 220 S. Marshall Street, York.
- Experimental Mixed Media with Julie Yontz Rupp will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. March 11-13. Students from beginner to advanced level will work with various water media, on canvas or paper, and will explore different techniques to achieve textural effects. Cost: $115.
- Basic Drawing for Beginning to Intermediate Artists, taught by Phyllis Disher Fredericks, will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 17-20. Students will learn perspective, composition, measurement with the eye, gesture drawing and human figure drawing. Cost: $145.
- Encaustic (The Old/New Medium) with Linda McCloskey will begin at 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, and continue from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.on Saturday, March 22 - Sunday, March 23. Beginners to advanced levels are welcome. Encaustic is painting with beeswax and resin, and dates to about 1000 B.C. Cost: $115.
- Introduction to Digital Photography for Artists, taught by Pat Teller, will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 26-28. This workshop is designed for beginners who are having trouble with skills needed to shoot, edit, organize and print quality photos. Cost: $115.
