The documentary "Soul Food Junkies," will be shown at 11 a.m. Tuesday at HACC-York Campus in the Arthur J. Glatfelter Community Room in the Cytec Building.
In the film, award-winning director Byron Hurt explores the tradition of soul food, its relevance to black cultural identity and its continued popularity despite the dangers associated with diets high in calories and fat.
Hurt is known for his documentaries such as "Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhythms" and the award-winning underground film, "I Am a Man: Black Masculinity in America and Moving Memories: The Black Senior Video Yearbook."
