The Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center is partnering with Church World Service of Lancaster to provide free assistance with citizenship applications, Saturday and March 29 at Martin Library, 159 E. Market St.
Part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Pro Bono Citizenship Day, the event is open to permanent residents who are interested in applying for U.S. citizenship.
The first part will be an information session at 11 a.m. Saturday. Attendees will learn about the eligibility requirements for citizenship and the information needed to complete an application. No registration is required.
If eligible for naturalization and interested in completing a citizenship application, attendees of the Saturday event can make an appointment to attend a legal clinic on March 29 to meet with volunteer legal workers for free assistance with the application.
