York College will host the man known for his work as a victims' rights advocate and the face of "America's Most Wanted" when John Walsh visits the campus Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Walsh will present the college's Vizzi Family Lectureship in Professional Excellence, which is free and open to the public.
Walsh's six-year-old son was abducted and murdered in 1981, which was the beginning of Walsh's campaign to prevent similar events from happening to other families and children.
Walsh's television series, "America's Most Wanted," has brought dozens of criminals to justice, according to a release from the college.
Walsh will speak at the event at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Waldner Performing Arts Center. Doors are open at 6 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served.
Walsh will be available after the lecture for a book-signing event.
