The Lord's Lunch is offering educational activities for preschoolers to sixth-graders at St. John Lutheran Church, 175 E. Main St., New Freedom.
The event features lunch at 11:30 a.m., then crafts and story time from noon to 1 p.m. The October schedule is:
Saturday: Lt. Kara Sipes, a medic and Baltimore City Fire Academy instructor, will discuss fire prevention and safety.
Saturday, Oct. 26: Wear your costume for a Halloween party.
Also, the ministry is in need of new and gently used books, puzzles and games for its educational activity sessions and new toys for its Lunch with Santa event on Dec. 21. Donations may be dropped off at the church or pick-up may be arranged by calling Bryna or Linda at (717) 993-0180.
The Lord's Lunch serves free meals to residents of southern York and northern Baltimore counties. Lunch is open to individuals and families of all ages and there are no income or age restrictions. Donations are accepted, but not required.
