Over the past four years, the YWCA York has championed programs that save and change lives by providing safe harbor from domestic violence and sexual abuse, and by assisting those who have been victims of violent crimes.
Each year, the YWCA York reaches thousands with the message that all individuals have value and worth and should not be subjected to such cruel and inappropriate acts.
As co-chairs of the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes committee, Andy Seebold and I want to extend our thanks to all businesses, sponsors, groups and walkers who participated in this year's event. Because of your generosity, over $63,000 was raised, the most successful event to date.
In addition, a great big thank you goes to Cathy Haynes, our board of directors, junior board of directors and members of the Walk-a-Mile committee who worked extremely hard in making this year's event so successful.
The YWCA York is proud of this accomplishment but even prouder of the relationships with our donors, partners and volunteers. Thank you for helping to save and change lives.
