The Veterans of Foreign War are offering contests for high school students and for younger students for creative patriotic art.
Students in grades 9-12 can compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships.
Entries turned into the West York Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8951, located at 1800 Andrew St., York, by the deadline of March 31 are considered for the auxiliary level scholarship award, and are then judged for advancement to district judging. The first place district winner advances to the state competition. The first place national scholarship is $10,000.

Students in grades 2-5 can compete in the Loyalty Day Art Contest. Theme this year is Classroom Pledge of Allegiance.
