The head football coach of the University of Maryland, Randy Edsall, will be the speaker at the Tuesday, March 19 dinner meeting of the Lutheran Men's Club of York County. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 839 W. Market St. in York.

A native of Glen Rock, Edsall was a three-year letter winner in football, basketball and baseball during his high school days at Susquehannock. After a collegiate career at Syracuse, where he played quarterback, Edsall has compiled more than 30 years of coaching experience at the college and professional level. He enters his third season as head coach of the Maryland Terrapins, following 12 successful years as head coach of Connecticut, where he took the Huskies to five bowl games and won Big East Coach of the Year honors in 2010.

Edsall will discuss the Maryland football program in his message, Gaining Results Through Teamwork.
