Starting Monday, Route 214 will be closed to traffic where it passes under the York County Heritage Rail Trail in Seven Valleys.

Crews plan to repair the bridge that carries the trail over Route 214 because it was damaged by a construction vehicle during a construction project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said in a news release.

The contractor for the construction project, J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, will make the repair. The closure should take no more than a week, PennDOT said.

The road is known as Main Street in Seven Valleys, and about 4,000 vehicles use this portion of road on a daily basis.

A detour will direct motorists around the closure via Route 616, Route 216 and Yellow Church Road.
