Whether it's makeup, auto accessories or weapons, eight recent thefts at the Walmart in Springettsbury Township show shoplifters will steal anything.
Between Oct. 21 and 25, township police were called to the East Market Street store eight times for reports of shoplifting, and arrested three people.
The thieves stole -- or tried to steal -- items including makeup, Matchbox cars, DVDs and a knife, police said.
In all, more than $800 worth of merchandise was reported stolen from Walmart during that five-day period, police said.
Officers made arrests in three of the incidents. Charged with retail theft are:
* George Williams, 52, of Prospect Street in York City, at 4 p.m. Oct. 23, for allegedly stealing about $195 in automotive accessories
* Robert Kozacheson Jr., 26, of Maple Street in Manchester, at 5 p.m. Oct. 24, for allegedly stealing a knife
* Joy Davenport, 37, of Mount Rose Avenue in Spring Garden Township, at 10:08 p.m. Oct. 25, for allegedly stealing a bed comforter.
