York County has extended its deadline for voters to apply for an absentee ballot.
The new application deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, according to a county news release.
The extension is related to Hurricane Sandy's visit to the state earlier this week. The storm caused officials to close county offices Tuesday and part of Monday.
The original deadline was Oct. 30, but Gov. Tom Corbett ordered the deadline extended one day for each day a county courthouse was closed.
