Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board invites students K-12 to enter the 21st annual Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest in an effort to educate young people on the dangers of underage drinking.
A panel of judges will select approximately 50 entries, and those students will be recognized at a ceremony in Harrisburg during Alcohol Awareness Week in April 2013. Of those artists, 13 grade winners will be selected to receive a $50 cash prize. The artists responsible for the top designs will receive a cash prize of $100, and their posters will be reproduced into posters, coloring pages and/or bookmarks.
Entries must be received by Nov. 16, and the winners will be announced in early 2013. Contest guidelines are available online at www.lcb.state.pa.us, click on "Alcohol Education." Questions about the contest should be directed to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board at (717) 772-1432, or by e-mail to RA-LBEducation@pa.gov.
