Five students on a school bus and two teenagers in a pickup truck all escaped with minor injuries during a two-vehicle crash in Springfield Township on Tuesday afternoon.

State police said a 17-year-old Seven Valleys girl was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Dunkard Valley Road near Swamp Hollow Lane about 3:15 p.m. when she rear-ended a school bus.

The bus was stopped and students were getting out of the bus at the time, police said; the bus had on its lights and its stop sign was extended.

Five of the roughly three dozen students on the bus complained of minor injuries, as did the pickup truck driver and her passenger, a 14-year-old Seven Valleys girl, police said. None of them needed to be transported to the hospital, police said.

The bus and pickup truck sustained minor damage.

Police said the 17-year-old is facing a traffic citation.
