Officers in Lancaster County arrested a Yoe man who they said was found with property stolen during the Monday burglary of a New Holland-area home, police said.

Brian Barnard, 31, of 92 W. Broad St., was taken to Lancaster County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to police; his alleged co-defendant, John Carter, 30, of 312 Willow St. in Terre Hill, Lancaster County, was committed on $150,000 bail.

New Holland Police were called to a home in the 700 block of Gristmill Road in Earl Township about 6:45 p.m. Monday for a reported break-in. Several witnesses told officers they saw and older-model black sedan parked near the home, police said.

Just before 10 p.m. Monday, police pulled over a vehicle matching the description. Inside, they found $70 in Canadian currency that had been stolen from the home, according to police, and arrested the two men inside.

Carter is charged with burglary, receiving stolen property and false identification to law enforcement. Barnard is charged with receiving stolen property, police said.
