Drivers using Interstate 83 around the Market Street exits could encounter delays on Friday night.

The right northbound lane of I-83 near Exit 19 (Market Street) will be closed starting at 9 p.m. Friday, according to PennDOT.

The closure is necessary to make repairs to a bridge expansion joint, the agency said.

The on-ramp to I-83 north from North Hills Road also will be closed.

The closures will end sometime Saturday morning, according to PennDOT.
