Local legislators will host the Fourth Annual Economic Development Regional Meetings during the last two weeks of September.
Annually, the York County Economic Alliance and York County Planning Commission (YCPC) partner to hold economic development meetings in each of the five planning regions around the county.
The purpose of the meetings is to update the community about implementation actions and activities related to the York County Economic Development Plan.
This year's agenda will include comments from local legislators regarding economic development from the state perspective; a presentation on York County as Creativity Unleashed: America's Industrial Art and Design Capital; and brief presentations from The York County Rail Trail Authority and the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Meeting dates and locations are:
--- South Eastern Region, Monday, Sept. 17, hosted by Rep. Stan Saylor, Lower Chanceford Township Building, 4120 Delta Road;
--- Greater York Region, Wednesday, Sept. 19, hosted by Reps. Eugene DePasquale and Keith Gillespie, York County 911 Center, 120 Davies Drive, York;
--- South Western Region, Tuesday, Sept. 25, hosted by Sen. Richard Alloway, Penn Township Building, 20 Wayne Ave., Hanover;
--- South Central Region, Wednesday, Sept. 26, hosted by Rep. Ron Miller, Springfield Township Building, 9211 Susquehanna Trail S;
--- Northern Region, Thursday, Sept. 27, hosted by Reps. Seth Grove and Scott Perry, Warrington Township Building, 3345 Rosstown Road.
The meetings will be from 5:30-7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided by tenants of YorKitchen, York County's shared commercial kitchen incubator.
