A 70-year-old Lebanon man forcibly kissed a teenage girl, fondled her buttocks and kept her from leaving a room where she'd gone to get away from him, police allege.
Arthur Kapp Jr., of 970 Mount Wilson Road, remains free on $10,000 unsecured bail, charged with false imprisonment, illegal contact with a minor, indecent assault and corruption of a minor, according to court records.
Carroll Township Police said the incident happened about 2:15 p.m. July 5 at a home on Spring Road. A 15-year-old girl was visiting the home and ran into Kapp there, police said.
According to police, Kapp grabbed the girl tightly and wouldn't let her go, and French kissed her. While doing that, Kapp fondled the girl's buttocks, police allege.
The girl ran into a bathroom to get away and was forced to hold the door shut because there was no lock on the door, police said. Kapp pulled the doorknob from the other side and eventually opened the door enough to grab her hands and try to pull them off the knob, police allege.
He forced her out of the bathroom, but she ran back in because she was scared and ended up staying there for about an hour, according to charging documents.
Kapp also told her not to tell anyone what happened or she'd get in trouble, police said.
"Mr. Kapp vehemently denies the allegations," said defense attorney Shane Kope. "He's never had any inappropriate conduct with any of his grandchildren, his niece or nephews, or anyone in his family.
