A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted in Adams County this weekend as part of the Center for Traffic Safety's Sobriety Checkpoint and Expanded DUI/Underage Drinking Enforcement Program.

The sobriety checkpoint will be held sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. The enforcement operation will kick off local involvement in a national DUI crackdown mobilization.

The national theme for 2012 is "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

The mobilization, which begins Friday and continues through Labor Day, involves more than 600 Pennsylvania police departments and Pennsylvania State Police in a series of special enforcement initiatives.
