York City residents are invited to attend a "Stand Up For Your Community" meeting 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at the corner of East College Avenue and South Queen Street.

The meeting is a "call to action," during which attendees will be provided information about neighborhood associations and other community groups that help to address crime. Attendees should bring a lawn chair.

In case of rain, the meeting will be held at Lincoln Charter School, 559 W. King St.
