Two Penn Township men were arrested for allegedly selling synthetic marijuana from an Abbottstown store.
Mohammad Asharaf Veriatch, 49, and his son Usman Asharaf Veriatch, 20, both of 190 Hickory Lane are charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to Adams County District Attorney Shawn Wagner.
The men were arrested Thursday after state police and the Adams County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Best Smoke Shop in Abbottstown.
Officials found 261 packets of synthetic marijuana and 350 items of drug paraphernalia, including smoking devices, digital scales and metal grinders, Wagner said.
In June, an undercover officer purchased synthetic marijuana from the store and made an additional purchase in early July, Wagner said.
