To accommodate its current and continued growth, York Traditions Bank recently purchased property in York Township, according to CEO Mike Kochenour.
The bank has secured the vacant 27,600-square-foot property that was formerly home to The Room Store, a furniture shop at 226 Pauline Drive, and will develop it into its central administrative center, he said.
A move-in date is targeted for the first quarter of 2013, he said. Founded in 2002 with 13 employees at one branch, York Traditions Bank now employs 75 associates across three branches throughout the county.
Its current headquarters at 235 St. Charles Way is home to administrative operations, business services and mortgage services, and space there is maximized, he said.
"Expanded facilities are necessary to support the bank's current and anticipated growth," he said.
The sale price and how many employees the bank expects to add were not disclosed.
Details are expected to be released as planning and construction progresses, he said.
In addition to the York Township locations, the bank also operates branches at 2450 Eastern Blvd. in Springettsbury Township, 2305 Susquehanna Trail North in Manchester Township and 2170 White St. in West Manchester Township.
