A new full-service hair salon will celebrate its grand opening this week amidst the city's First Friday activities.

Beautiful Blessings & Beyond, owned and operated by Kenyatta Echols, will open its doors at 4 p.m. Friday for a ribbon cutting with Mayor Kim Bracey.

"It is always a great day in the city of York when we can welcome new businesses into our community and stand beside them in their achievement," Bracey said in a statement.

From its 23 E. King St. address, the salon will offer various hair treatments, including relaxing, perming, coloring, natural styling and the Chi Straightening System.

Following the grand opening, hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Additional hours will be made available Monday and Tuesday by appointment only.
