Police are searching for a man who snatched a woman's purse Wednesday morning in Dover Township.

At 6:04 a.m., a 30-year-old township woman was at a car wash in the 2600 block of Carlisle Road, to vacuum out her vehicle.

While she was getting change out of her purse, a male ripped it from her hands and ran off, headed south toward Church Road, then ran through back yards and disappeared into nearby woods, Northern York County Regional Police said.

The woman escaped injury.

The robber is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-feet-10, wearing dark blue jeans and a brown hooded sweatshirt, police said.
