A Maryland woman faces federal charges that she embezzled more than $100,000 from PNC Bank customers.

Amy R. Eyler, 48, of Taneytown was an assistant branch manager of a PNC Bank in Adams County at the time of the funds went missing, according to a news release from federal prosecutors.

Between October 2007 and September 2011, Eyler allegedly embezzled roughly $118,000 from customers' certificate of deposit accounts, the release said.

Federal officials did not say which specific branch Eyler work for.

If convicted, Eyler faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine, federal officials said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Terz will prosecute.
