Federal agents have arrested a York City man accused of fatally shooting another man last week.

Rahsaun Bush, 20, was apprehended in Harrisburg early Tuesday. Bush, who is charged with criminal homicide, was taken to York County Central Booking where he was arraigned, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

He remains in York County Prison in lieu of bail.

Bush is accused of killing Kanyleron Travanti McDavid, 29, of New Bern, N.C.

York City Police requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and arrest Bush, according to the news release.

The task force found Bush staying with a woman at an apartment on Thornwood Road in Harrisburg. He allegedly tried to flee from law enforcement officials but was arrested without incident, according to the news release.

A .40-caliber handgun was recovered inside the apartment.

Shooting: York Police officers found McDavid dead in a third-floor bedroom of a home in the 400 block of Walnut Street when officers responded there for a report of a shooting, according to Bush's charging documents.

He had been shot multiple times in the head and torso. York County Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley pronounced McDavid dead at the scene.

McDavid had been in a several month-long relationship with a woman who lives in the home until the relationship ended the day before McDavid was killed, the woman told police, the documents state.

Bush went to her home that evening and spent the night, documents state.

McDavid had gone to the woman's home to retrieve his cellphone about 11:30 a.m. and began banging on the woman's bedroom door, documents state.

Bush opened the door, and he and McDavid began to fight over Bush being in the bedroom, documents state.

The woman told investigators she took children to the second floor of the home and once there, she heard several gunshots, documents state.

Fled: Just after the shots were fired, Bush descended the staircase to the second floor, went out onto a balcony and down an exterior staircase, documents state.

The woman immediately went up to the third floor, where she found McDavid lying in a pool of blood, documents state.

She then ran back downstairs to find someone to call 911.

McDavid was a wanted man when he was killed. The Craven County (North Carolina) Sheriff's Department wanted him for failing to change his address as a sex offender.

McDavid had been ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years after his 2006 conviction on two counts of indecent liberty with a minor.
