Boyds Bear Country, once a busy retail outlet for Adams County-based Boyds Collection Ltd., is on the real estate market for $2.5 million.

Spanning more than 128 acres, the site includes a five-story, 125,000-square-foot facility is located at 75 Cunningham Road near Gettysburg.

Until it closed in January 2011, the building was used for nearly nine years as store selling Boyds’ collectible teddy bears, giftware and home décor.

Potential uses of the property include mixed-use development, multi-family, office, manufacturing, retail food service, hotel, spa, retail, medical, educational, government, senior housing, recreation and entertainment, according to David Sites, a Gettysburg-based real estate agent who is representing the property on behalf of Prudential Bob Yost-Sites Homesale. Gettysburg also attracts a lot of tourists, he said.¶

"Gettysburg is a wonderful place to do business, and this property offers a great location and existing infrastructure for business development," Sites said.
