Loganville's Cub Scout Pack 93, sponsored by Christ Lutheran Church, is conducting a flag retreat ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday at the George A. Goodling Community Park in Loganville in honor of the 235th Flag Day. The public is invited to attend.

This flag retreat ceremony has two purposes. On U.S. military posts and in Scouting, it signals the end of the official duty day and serves as a ceremony for securing and paying respect to our national colors. Secondly, in order for Cub Scouts to earn their Wolf badge, they must learn how to raise the American flag properly for an outdoor ceremony.

Prospective Cub Scouts and their parents/guardians can learn more about Cub Scouting and Pack 93 by contacting the Pack 93 cubmaster Paul Miller at PaulMiller20@aol.com or assistant cubmaster Eric Mueller at ge.eric@gmail.com, or 717-428-0454.
