Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania plans to spend $1.74 million on infrastructure improvements in southern York County through summer. The facilities upgrades are expected to start this month and continue through September, according to a news release.
Projects include a portion of Susquehanna Trail, between Ore and Mill streets in Loganville as well as in Shrewsbury, between Harvey Lane and Onion Boulevard, with work on surrounding streets including Sunset Drive, the company said in the release.
Construction will occur during daytime hours on weekdays, with project hours varying and possible lane modifications needed.
Gas service to some customers will be interrupted as they're connected to the new gas main. The company will make personal contact with customers prior to shutting off service and to schedule service restoration, with employees and contractors carrying identification cards bearing their name, photograph and identification number.
