A Dover Township resident who spotted a repo man trying to repossess his Jeep Cherokee responded by pointing a loaded handgun at the man, police allege.
Saidrick Sherrod Lewis, 36, of 4327 Devonshire Drive, is being charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
No shots were fired during the Friday-afternoon confrontation, Lt. David Lash said.
The repo man -- a 37-year-old Lower Windsor Township resident -- was in front of Lewis' home about 1:45 p.m. and was loading the Jeep onto his rollback tow truck when Lewis approached him, according to Lash.
Lewis repeatedly pointed his loaded 9mm handgun at the repo man, who retreated inside his tow truck and called 911, Lash said.
Responding officers arrested Lewis without incident, after which the repo man was able to repossess the Jeep, Lash said.
Anyone who witnessed the alleged confrontation is asked to call police at 292-3647.
